2nd day of the Lunar New Year started later than usual as we change the dim sum session to the third day of New Year. So we had a good rest and went over to Gan popo house for lunch.

Next, we went to 'Mama' house, and then we made a special trip to Shu Gong house. It was our first visit there and shu gong even played his favourite instrument for us - Piano Accordion. It was Raenen's first time seeing this instrument, he was pretty curious about it and even wanted to try playing it. But it is just too heavy for him.


On the very morning of the first day of CNY, we gave the 2 children Angpows and that marks the beginning of the giving/receiving of Angpows in this lunar New Year! This is Raemus's first Chinese New Year and Raenen's 5th. I can see that Raenen really enjoys himself this year... He can better understand the significance of the celebration, and also appreciate the fact that everything he wears during CNY are all new!










We simply love Chinese New Year!! Raenen has requested us to buy for him the mini lion dance head this year. Popo tried to find the best bargain for us and finally we got it even though few shops ran out of stock towards nearing CNY. He was thrilled to have it and has been playing with it at home. We brought it with us to Popo House for the reunion dinner at Popo house. He had much fun with Gabby.



Ah gong peeled some pomelos after the lunch, should be preparing for the ÝuSheng'in the coming days... and the children had much fun playing with it.



Raenen had stomach flu just 1 week before Chinese New Year. He started having bad stomach aches. It was so bad that he struggled to stand up when the pain comes, Initially, the diarrhea was not so frequent, just loose stools so we actually had a wait-and-see attitude for a few days. though the diarrhea did get better but the stomach ache just doesn't seem to get any better. Felt so bad seeing him restless and struggled with the pain. We brought him to Dr Simon after much persuasion that Dr will help him with the pain. Dr Simon gave a close examniation, told us to stop all diary products and gave us samples of soy milk that lasted us for 3 days. He also prescribed him the same medicine when Raemus had the infection on his head. I wonder what is the cause of all these infection...??!
Thankfully after taking it for 3 days, he is much much better. PTL!

Happy Birthday Popo!! Its our beloved popo's birthday, we had dinner together followed by dessert at Thomson Plaza. Grandchildren were very looking forward to the blowing of candles for popo. But we couldnt find a better place to sing the birthday song. So we went Swensens, ordered the firehouse. They were very eager to blow the 1 and only candle, kept on reminding them to withhold their breath... haha but who can resist?! The fire went off even before we started to sing... so we relighted it and got popo to make a wish and blow off the candle! It was a simple evening, but the kids are conked out... Thank God Raenen could wake up early for school the next day. Infact he has been quite disciplined, and we 've been reaching school by 8.55am nowadays. PTL!























Who can miss out on Chinatown during CNY season? We went there on a Tuesday night to let the kids have a dip of Chinese New Year atmosphere at Chinatown! The kids were pretty excited about the trip. Year of the Tiger... so took some shots with the little tiger around. We love Chinese New Year! Bak Gua and many many more.... indulgence...
