It's National Day! It's family time!
We had picnic by the barrage, popo had prepared a spread to last us for breakfast and lunch. She wanted us to just focus on the kids and their barang barang and reach there on time. Thus the food was all prepared by popo and ah gong and we were only in charge of the drinks.
There was a slight drizzle that early morning, praying very hard that it won't end up being cancelled like the school event. We were looking forward for this outing, especially Raenen. God heard our earnest prayers, and it was a super sunny day for the rest of the morning and afternoon. The children ate, ran, fly the kite for awhile & played with the water. They had a super duper fun time together.
The adults had fun too, grandparents playing with the toddlers and daddies flying the kite, mummies enjoying the blissful moments and scenery. What a beautiful Singapore! Thank God for a safe, prosperous & advancing Singapore! Happy birthday Singapore!

Raemus's first

Time seems to zoom past real fast for our second child. Maybe we are more 'seasoned' as parents or maybe we are more 'bo chup' as we have the experience of treating a feverish bb, and not running to pd at every cough, fever & flu; feeding a hungry bb or calming the crying bb. However, God makes us all unique and special, and I'm still learning new things from this little one.
One week before Raemus's birthday, realized we didn't really print out photos for Raemus for past 11 months. Most of them are actually in soft copies, did the selections and print out to put up an album from birth till a year old.
We had a simple celebration at our new place, invited only the family members with the little ones. We decided to have one of our favorite food- Qi ji
Qi ji's poh biah is one of my fav when I was expecting little Merz, and chicken wings n chilli have always been my comfort food too. It's really quite a good choice as the children and adults have their fair share of fun in the chilli & ikan billis and chicken wings! As for the cake, Raenen chose his fav cake design for his brother and we bought Raemus's favorite too - balloons. And that makes him a very happy boy that day. Thank you all for your presence and presents to our little one. Happy 1st birthday Raemus!
At 1 year old, Raemus is able to
Stand from sitting position,
Able to take 1-2 steps on his own,
Walk with support,
Dance at his favorite tunes, Shake his head and body to indicate 'no',
Point to objects to indicate that he 'wants'.
Raemus loves to be carried by mummy, adores his brother, loves hugging daddy, likes balloons and whatever that the brother is playing.
This is our little Raemus.

Raenen is now 5 years old! Time seems to fly when we looked back at the photos when Raenen was just a small baby. He is such an adorable baby with rosy cheeks. I thank God for giving us Raenen. Now that he is 5, he has begin to reveal his temperament and personality. Through these years, we have discovered that he loves art, anything that has to do with creative craft and Mathematics. He is very intrigue by science and nature. And he still loves cars. He is an aspiring F1 driver!!
I pray that as he grows older, we will always be his role models and his best friends. There are times when I reacted the wrong way when he misbehaves. I pray that I can be a more efficient, loving and patient mummy. And that I am able to guide and teach him even during times when it's frustrating and difficult.
I love Raenen! Thank you for holding my hands when sleeping, telling me jokes to make me laugh, telling me your dreams and your fears! Thank you for being my boy! Happy birthday Raenen! I love you!

I bought a Mr Clever new water bottle for Rae during Robinson sale as I've thrown away a few of the old ones. Thought it looks kind of cute with the mr men series. But now it looks like this as Rae decided to decorate it with stickers of sports cars. Hmmm think he still prefers cars.
